Everything in one place
Goals cost money, and savings are goals. So B3 keeps your budget next to your plans, under Budget in the app.
- Accounts. Add accounts such as a bank, cash or a card, each with an opening amount. Balances are always worked out from your entries, never typed over. If one drifts, Adjust Balance records the correction and keeps its history. Archived accounts keep their history too.
- Categories. Separate income and expense categories, each with an optional target.
- Transactions. Record income or an expense with its category, account, date, amount and a note. Browse month by month with income and expense totals, and filter by account, category or type.
Your month at a glance
Set a monthly budget and the dashboard shows your total balance, this month’s spending and how much of the budget is used. My Budget shows money in, money out, gain or loss, and balance for any month, for one account or all of them.
Pro tools
- Repeating transactions. Rent, salary or subscriptions post themselves every 1 to 99 days, weeks, months or years. You can pause them, and month-end dates never drift.
- Budget Mode. Turn it on and any new expense that would take the month over budget is blocked.
- Full history. Reports and charts go back as far as your data does. The Free plan shows this month and the 12 before it.
- PDF reports. Export a filtered statement for this month, the last 3 or 6 months, the year, the financial year or a custom range.
Share a category
Planning a trip or a household budget together? Share a category with a supporter and they can see its transactions. They can read them but not change them.
Your numbers, typed by you
B3 doesn’t connect to banks and never asks for banking credentials. Everything in your budget is something you entered.

The Free plan includes 1 money account and 15 transactions a month, plus categories, a monthly budget and reports. B3 Pro makes accounts and transactions unlimited and adds the tools above.
Questions about Budget
Does B3 connect to my bank?
No. You enter your transactions yourself. B3 never connects to a bank and never sees banking credentials.
What does Budget Mode do?
With a monthly budget set, Budget Mode blocks any new expense that would take that month's total spending over budget. Spending up to the budget exactly is fine, and income is never blocked. It's a B3 Pro feature.
Which currencies does B3 support?
You pick one display currency for your budget. It starts as a guess from the country you signed up in. B3 doesn't convert between currencies.
